A Curated Path Through a Decade of Thinking at the Edge
If you’re new to this garden, welcome. This page offers a guided path through the essays that best represent Living Systems Investing — where it came from, how it works, and what it sees that conventional analysis cannot.
You can follow this path, or wander. Either way, you’ll find the connections.
Begin Here — The Framework in Action (2026)
These three essays are the clearest recent expression of how the Living Systems lens works in practice. They were written as a series and are best read in order.
Security by Design, Not as an Add-On (May 2026) Why I rebuilt my entire technology infrastructure from scratch — and what that process revealed about the difference between security as a feature and security as a structural quality. The CrowdStrike outage opens the argument. The living systems lens makes sense of it.
What the Living Systems Lens Actually Selects For (May 2026) The framework in motion. Sovereignty, modularity, and resilience as investment criteria — demonstrated through the actual decisions I made building this infrastructure. The principles travel across domains. This essay shows how.
What I Actually Learned — The Human Testimony (May 2026) What building this actually felt like from the inside, and why the edge founder — the non-linear thinker who always had the ideas but never had the infrastructure — is the person this methodology is designed to serve.
The Lens Applied to Markets
What I Saw in Meta — And What the Lens Keeps Showing (2026) In November 2022, I was asking different questions about Meta than most analysts were. This essay revisits those questions, what the 2026 jury verdicts confirmed, and why the coherence lens surfaces fractures that conventional analysis cannot see until they arrive.
What I Saw in 2022 (2022, annotated) The original track record document — written in early 2022 and preserved with its original dates intact, then annotated with what happened. The clearest proof of concept I have for how early pattern recognition works in practice.
The Barbell and the Map (April 2026) Geography never went away — the globalist era just made it easy to forget. This essay maps the dual-scale energy architecture emerging from first principles: orbital solar abundance at one end, terrain-rooted distributed resilience at the other. The LSI coherence test applied to one of the most consequential capital allocation questions of the next decade.
Where the Framework Came From
My Journey from Wall Street to the Edge of Chaos (2023) From investment analyst to Oracle. Why I left traditional finance, what I learned in the descent, and why the edge is where the most important work happens.
Why Are Divergent Thinkers Ostracized (2022) On polymaths, edge thinkers, and why the system excludes the very people who can solve its most complex problems. My most comprehensive piece on the structural problem this work exists to address.
New Investment Models Needed to Solve Important Problems (2017) Why traditional finance fails to support breakthrough innovation — and what’s required instead. The earliest public statement of the problem.
2016-11-22-What is the True Essence of a Unicorn (2016) My first published piece — a fairy tale about business and investing that came through me, not from me. I was terrified to publish it. Looking back, it was the seed of everything that followed. The dream that became this digital garden and LSI principles.
The Conceptual Bridge
Nash Equilibrium and Complex Systems Investing (2017) Game theory meets permaculture. Why win-win solutions aren’t idealistic — they’re mathematically optimal. One investor called this piece “too vague.” It turned out to be foundational. The coherence framework I use today is, in part, the systematic answer to the question this essay was asking.
The Methodology in Action
Nash Equilibrium-Phoenix Investing (2025) Applying the framework to Phoenix investing — finding value in the “graveyard” of broken companies.
Medical Technology Case Study (2025) Living Systems Investing applied to real-world investment analysis. The hub and spoke model in action.
Unlocking Hidden Value in Smaller Public Companies (2025) Why smaller public companies are overlooked, and how coherence analysis reveals hidden opportunities.
